New KÌla DVD 'Once Upon A Time' release date: 12th July Launch Date: 11th July, Galway Film Fleadh, Eyre Square, 10pm The fabulous new Kila concert film 'Once Upon A time...' will be premiered with a full open air screening, free and open to the public, on Friday July 11th 10pm. The screening, hosted by the presitigous Galway FIlm Fleadh, will be held in Eyre Square in the centre of Galway City and will be attended by the KÌla's themselves

The DVD which goes on sale on July 12th was filmed at one of the now infamous KÌla Vicar Street Christmas Shows and apart from featuring the hugely gorgeous and massively talented KÌla's themselves also has a stunning set, trapeze artist, chorus line and other surprises that make KÌla show so unique. So whats there to miss, if you are in or near or even far away from Galway but good for travelling on the 11th, do come and join us for the first public screening, it may be wet, it may be cold but I can promise brilliant music, visuals and vibes to keep you dancing all night long...

Colm releases his first solo album - Giving

As 2007 draws to a close Colm has released his first solo album in many years with this album of gorgeous songs. Stark beauty is mixed with honest emotion, majestic soundscapes and gentle reflection.

Those who have enjoyed Colm's soaring voice at Kíla concerts will welcome this collection of thirteen songs. It has guest performances from many musicians including Richie Buckley, Lisa Hannigan, Fiachna Ó Braonáin and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

The Garden Wars (published Dec ’07) is a new collection of poems by Rónán Ó Snodaigh.

Caught in the crossfire between bracken, bramble, gorse and garden escapees, these are Rónán’s eyewitness accounts of the ongoing seasonal skirmishes, love stories and undercover activities that take place daily in our landscape.

This is a subject close to Rónán’s heart, as he spends a lot of time studying the sometimes subversive behaviour of certain species’ in his garden
